These were actually shot a few months ago, but I forgot to post them. I wore something very similar in The Netherlands so I thought why not post it now? As you all know by now, I’m really big on mixing textures while coming up with an outfit. This time I took this lovely see through shirt with snake skin print and worked around that. For contrast, I had to wear this long, deep blue velvet dress. I have to admit, although it’s made out of pretty thick velvet, it’s surprisingly comfortable worn in the summer with flip flops during the day or high heeled sandals and heavy necklace for the night. To take it down a notch so it would be more daytime appropriate, denim jacket is the way to go. Cocktail ring is something that I always add to spice up an outfit and in this case it coordinates perfectly with the neck cuff! I also find myself wearing the ponytail more and more, it’s both practical and looks chic! You can’t see them here, but I wore my pointy flats that are unfortunately still buried in my private shoe cemetery, until I find a way to repair them. Sigh.
