This is exactly what I can be found wearing on weekends (also on lazy days or working-at-home days during the week). It’s not a secret that everyone loves being cozy and comfortable at home, reading, watching favorite TV shows and sipping coffee. As far as I’m concerned, the go-to outfit for that is composed of leggings, sweat pants and shirts or knitwear. My rule of thumb would be: Just loose enough to float around the body, but still tight enough to avoid looking like a lifeless sack of potatoes. Although from time to time I enjoy that as well.
What happens when you decide to leave the comfort of your home and head out attired in your home-edition-less-representative self? Apparently, that pictured on the photos above. With, of course, additional glamorizing effects i.e. baseball cap and chunky chain necklace. I didn’t go overboard and wore heels since this was all about keeping that lazy spirit alive. But I did indulge myself in colors (make up wise) instead – the cold palette of the outfit needed to be warmed up with some pink pout.
This combination can also be easily considered a base. Lose the cap. Throw a gilet over, add a knitted scarf. Or maybe keep it simple and wear just a fitted blazer and a coat, with the necklace. There are a thousand ways you can make your lazy weekend clothing street appropriate. The possibilities are endless, you just have to be willing to play around!
PS. This outfit has been featured on Push It magazine, along with my other outfits of the week and a few paragraphs of how I feel about style and fashion (note: the article is written in Serbian so all you English-speaking darlings might need Google translate)! I’ll be posting the rest of the outfits here soon, so do check back. Have a great weekend everyone!
