The reason for not posting this yesterday like I promised was my indecisiveness. For all my beauty posts, I usually choose two to three best shots. But I like how these turned out so much that I simply couldn’t force myself to chose only a couple. That’s why I chose five this time. You’ll also be able to see more on my Tumblr and Facebook page.
How did you like my no eye make-up look from the previous outfit post? As I stated before, this winter I’ve been too lazy for anything real life related, let alone putting make-up on my face. So for the day, I get by with just a bit of foundation, mascara and colored lips to brighten my day. Yet, I needed something to glam up my night time appearance. Simple in execution, but bold enough to deserve a “night time look” label. So I came up with this little trick – glossy eye make-up. While I’m sure there are products that are designed for that wet eye look, here I just used a regular clear lip gloss. If it’s good enough for the lips, it’ll work just fine for the lids! Keep in mind: the stickier the gloss, the better it will look, but it can be a pain in your derrière if you wear your hair down. Paired the glossy eyes with blood red lips to get a strong contrast and avoid looking like an ill person (pale lips and no make-up tend to do that to ya). Also, stay away from shiny lipsticks if you choose the wet eye look as in some cases it can be too much. I usually wear this make-up when I don’t have much going on with my clothes and accessories. It’s all about finding the right balance!
