I’ve searched so long for vintage Levi 501 it’s not even funny anymore. I did find a pair of similar mom jeans a while ago, but still. Call me a freak, an obsessed being that’s stuck in her childhood, but seriously – I had to have THE vintage jeans that for me are the epitome of 90s. And why shouldn’t I be so excited over those? They have the perfect cut, just right shade of blue, they’re already washed out so I don’t have to spend hours bent over the bathtub and inhaling bleach while trying to get that effect.
I already cut one pair into high waisted shorts and thinking about whether I should do the same with the other one as well or just wear it as is. I used to never wear jeans, black leggings were like my go-to bottoms for every outfit. As time passes by, I’m starting to get comfortable with wearing not-so-comfortable clothes. I mean, I’m not fifteen anymore, I don’t have the luxury to wear just whatever since my home-school-home route is a bit different now. Serious age asks for some serious style. Ok, I’m starting to sound much older than I really am so I’m going to stop myself before I get to that 65 year old phase. However, even in my not-sweatpants-and-tees clothes I can still have a bit of fun. Cut it off, roll it up – can’t wait to do some serious style experiments with those babies. I solemnly declare I’ll take some shots along the way and keep you posted on how it’s all going.
