Wearing multiple bags always seemed kind of ridiculous to me, to say the least. Why would anyone willingly choose to carry around the amount of bags that is sure to earn them a spot on the ‘World’s top 100 bag ladies’ list? Totes and bigger bags always seemed like a more logical and definitely more practical solution. However, after experiencing a lot of digging through the unknown depths of my bigger bags, looking for my phone, lipstick or a lighter and not being able to reach them in under 5 minutes – I am singing a totally different tune. Now, not only do I understand the appeal of carrying more than one bag at a time, but wholeheartedly accept this new found revelation as my latest ‘it’ thing. Bye bye messy bag interiors and awkward airport moments; hello new, organized way of carrying stuff around.

If you’re into layering as much as yours truly, check out my posts on layering basics, layering jewelry, wearing skirts over pants… I’m sure the list will go on in the future!

I do the same thing! It’s either a small backpack or multiple smaller bags. It makes finding specific items a lot easier.

I kind of like the idea of layering bags. Might make the transition from larger totes to smaller clutches more easier for an avid tote baggie aficionado. I have to admit I hate that digging around too. It’s always my keys I have a problem with!

Nothing wrong with layering bags if it’s a more convenient way to go about one’s day. I admit to carrying a bag within a bag – I’ll often tuck one of my Rick Owens smaller bags into a DRKSHDW tote. Whatever works! :)

Layering bags is something I might try soon. Surprisingly it’s aesthetically appealing or maybe you’re just a master at layering. I just started reading you’re blog and it’s lovely!

This is actually a good idea! Might try this tricks sometime soon, although using a small bags with multiple compartments can also be an alternative to this problem.
