While we’re on the topic on all things cozy, I feel like it’s the perfect time to discuss all things oversized yet again. Being a small girl, it’s safe to say that almost anything larger than size XS will probably have an oversized fit on me. Being a small girl that enjoys neutral colors and appreciates great fabrics and simple cuts, menswear is what I attire myself in half of the time. Put two and two together and what you will get is what you see pictured above. As you can tell, I quite enjoy dressing in slouchy, not-my-size clothes; I find it gives me more freedom and space to experiment. There is just something very appealing in the way a mens blazer or a button-up feels and looks draped over a petite girl’s shoulders; when done right, it really pulls the whole outfit together and gives it that nonchalant, chic vibe that I am all about.
The heavy perception of deep charcoal gray masculine pieces can successfully be altered with the help of some more feminine ones – heeled ankle boots, obviously, and some jewelry. I chose two chunky pieces of metal to accessorize with, the rose gold chain watch and a matching hardware ring. Even though they do soften the look a bit, they still appear robust enough to follow the whole concept of masculinity.
