atypical summer outfit20.06.2015
A very non-summery outfit I have to share with you today. While some might jump to the conclusion that I went a bit cuckoo, let me clarify – I am in Amsterdam at the moment. That is pretty self-explanatory, but for all of you that have never experienced Dutch weather before – it’s freakin’ crazy. You can be in your swimming suit one moment and running inside to get a coat and an umbrella the next. And I am not exaggerating. So if you’re currently somewhere where it’s proper summer, I’m sorry; today’s post is (unintentionally) for all the people in the Northern hemisphere!
We had quite a bit of sunshine in June here, but sadly this past week has been all gray and rainy. So what’s a girl to do other than resort to wearing deep tones and layering? The idea of playing around with dark blue and black never seems to leave my mind, especially if all I am surrounded by are those exact hues. Jeans, a light roll neck, loafers and a coat thrown over my shoulders has been my go-to look lately. Comfort is key and styling is achieved by playing with accessories – different styles of bags and jewelry. For a day spent in the city centrum, a backpack, my Daniel Wellington watch and an assortment of dainty rings were just the right measure.
