There is something ethereal about shades of white that I cannot quite put my finger on. The appeal of crispness and cleanness will never go out of style in my book, and that’s exactly what all white outfits give me every time I chose to wrap my body in one. Every once in a while I crave the simplicity of a tonal look, and when the craving comes around – the thought of serenity and carefree attitude always brings about white. There is no complexity when picking out a white outfit – just ease with knowing you will look fresh and put together, no matter the silhouette, the texture or the occasion chosen. It is the only blank canvas that doesn’t feel threatening (as opposed to an empty Word page when writing a cover letter – #freshgraduateproblems). Build upon it or not; make it as colorful as possible or leave it clean as is – the important thing is that the choice is yours. Own it, love it and feel liberated wearing it.

Get inspired by the magic of white by browsing through some older outfit posts!

All the pieces you see are thrifted and/or no brand (with the exception of Graceland sandals, which sadly they don’t sell on the website anymore), but you can get inspired or shop similar below:

Ha! You are so right, a blank page that’s waiting for a cover letter can be very threatening…funny how that works. I totally agree though that an all white outfit has a certain ethereal quality, I really love it!

I find it really hard to find a white hue suiting my “soft summer” super light skin tone, and second hand white is hard to find too, as it gets gray or yellowish soon and stained easily. Wouldn’t mind soft white leather though… maybe I’ll get on a search for this one. All my other white shirts etc. have patches or something else on them to cover up stains which won’t go out any more. Good thing I’ve got some fabric colour I can brush over it, to give it a roughly coated look and hide the blame…

Ahh I know what you mean! You can try with not so stark shades of white, like cream, ivory or eggshell, which is still light in tone, but not so in-your-face :) As for second had whites, it can be a problem, but I did have success with button up shirts – even scored some brand new ones with the original tags still attached! Otherwise, if the fabric allows for it – you can always try bleach. Thanks for stopping by! xx
