Everyone agrees there are far and few things in the make-up world that are considered classics. One of those things has to be winged eyeliner look. On the flip side – the greatest struggle of womankind is precisely keeping those eyeliner wings sharp looking and even. I’ve got just a few easy tips to keep your eyeliner game strong!

1. Use a guide – the most popular and the easiest way of getting that perfect crisp line every time is by sticking a small piece of tape at the desired angle and following the edge with your eyeliner. When done, just remove the tape and voila – you have the perfect wing! If you’re not comfortable with the idea of sticking tape to your face, you can achieve the same effect by using a business card or basically anything with a straight edge.

2. Keep your hand steady – Rest your elbow on a sturdy surface and find a comfortable position for your arm/hand before drawing out that line! It helps if you go for multiple smaller strokes instead of doing the whole line at once, there is less room for wobbly-hand mistakes!

3. Use different tools – We seriously have an overwhelming choice of eyeliners on the market these days – there’s no reason you shouldn’t use that to your advantage. Felt tip, brush, pen, gel eyeliner – try ’em all until you learn what works best for you and your eye shape!

4. Practice makes perfect – If you feel you’re not highly skilled in the winged eyeliner department, don’t give up just yet! No one was born with this ability so everyone has the potential to become a pro. Just practice, practice, practice when you have time and not much to do – this way you’ll be proud to rock your perfect eyeliner wings next time a special occasion rolls around!
