Drunk-looking face and overall a slightly disheveled look always go hand in hand with deep berry tones. At least in my book they do, as evidenced by the blindingly overexposed shots above. There is a certain magic in the air this time of year – the shades (and taste, obviously) of mulled wine are undoubtedly contributing to it. What I’m wearing on my lips is an old favorite of mine which gets the spotlight every winter. I’ve written about it few years ago (and you can read that bit about it in the make-up essentials post), yet I feel as if I need to declare my love for it once more. I’m talking about a lipliner by Aura cosmetics in the shade 34. I rarely wear it as a lip liner though – the color is too gorgeous to stay only on the edges of my lips. Sometimes I top it off with a lipstick to achieve different looks and sometimes, when I’m feigning for a very autumnal/wintery look, I leave it as is. Since I like to give my products multiple purposes when possible, I also use this baby as an eyeliner – it brings out my brown eyes wonderfully.
Getting into the holiday mood, I paired the lip-look with my new purchase – this basic t-shirt. I think of plain t-shirts in basic colors as wardrobe staples; they’re the easiest piece to style in all sorts of occasions. I thought the muted burgundy shade of the shirt and the bold lip were a perfect match.
If you’re the casual-at-all-times type, this just might be your look inspiration for the New Year’s Eve! Speaking of, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all the best in the coming year. Many thanks for all your comments and love for MoiMinnie in 2014, hope you’ll continue the style journey with me in 2015 too!
